Pigeon Talk

Pretty little yellow guy. Do you know if he is a certain breed or just a "kitchen canary" (non-breed/generic canary)? The different types have some really unique song styles.
I think he is a fife canary. He was chirping a little earlier but I think he needs to settle in. He's asleep now. Just a little yellow ball on the perch :love

Mozart is from the same shop Olive came from, I got him last December. They had about 10 supposed male canaries in individual cages on the wall. But the problem was, I bought an identical canary the year before there as a male, and it laid an egg a week later! I returned her for a refund that year but by then they had sold out of males. I only brought home Mozart after waiting for a while in the shop, he was the only one which I actually saw sing - and he just kept going and going!

I do love the yellow canaries but the green ones seem to have a stronger voice.

Here is Mozart. He is a kitchen canary but I suspect he has Timbrado genes based in his song.

He has quite a small cage but this is his choice. We had him in a larger cage and once let out he would still go back to this one if he could see it. I guess he finds it comfy. He sings all day.

I can't tell, is that a real lady gouldian finch? It looks like a cut out! Do you have any?

It's a painted wood cut. I haven't had any real life Gouldians for about 5 years.

This was my Wally, who I had a long time ago. He was disabled, didn't fly but was very tame and loved to hop around the house. He was one of my first rescued birds, and I got him on craigslist for free with another one with only one leg from a guy who had completely neglected them. Sadly the other bird didn't make it, but Wally was with me for a while.
