Pigeon Talk

Update! Wallace got his glight suite today and tried it on for around 10 minutes. He thinks its heavy and a bit irritating, but I think he's just happy to be out of the cage as I didnt want to risk him free flying in our house whith our dogs running about simultaneously what a handsome boy no?! Note: ive been questioning this for a few months but I quite adore the owls and short faces but where are all the Figurita breeders?! Id like to get Wallace a wife at some point and I'll settle for a tumbler or owl but id like another Figurita if possible :) if anyone knows a breeder hook me up!!

Alright guys... I got all-in-one, did the recommended dosage, for the recommended time, and nothing happened. The birds are still sick. I only have two that are really sick, the rest, well, aren't too bad. But I'm wondering what's wrong with them. There dropping are just not good. All the birds got treated. But here is what there droppings are like. View attachment 1918632
Wet, watery, and brown. This is for all my birds, the really sick ones even more so. The really sick ones aren't eating or drinking much, so are just losing weight. Should I force feed peas? I am at a loss. I just noticed today that my sick roller is having a build up of droppings. The poor fella is too far gone, but I'll still try to nurse him back to health.View attachment 1918639I had to lift him there. He can't fly. Any help is needed. I just am at a total loss. It a probably something obvious, I just don't now a ton about sickness.
I know your birds are varied in age but I'd recommend treating for young bird sickness. Regardless of age it would seem that they have a weakened immune system which in turn is allowing them to get sick.
I've posted this video before but will have been lost in time. This guy knows his beans. I'm not sure what products you can get in the US but I'm sure there will be an equivalent.

Well I have three male fantails and one female. No fighting, everybody seems fairly happy with the situation. It's one of the first pair I got that is male. It's a bit odd though that I never saw any signs that he was. Ruby is the female. She has paired up with kiwi and is now sat on a nest with a single egg! 16 days and hopefully a little :jumpy

I'm really sorry about your troubles with the flock. I wish I knew what to advise.:hugs I did find a new you tuber who has a series of vids on pigeon health. Sample on on canker ....
Remind us - What does that 4 in 1 treat? Not all are the same...
I just looked... It treats canker, E. Coli, paratyphoid, and coccidiosis.

and then I treated with a different med trichomoniasis and hexamitosis...

And the all in one treats cocci again, canker again, worms, and respiratory issues.

Just for a fecal exam is not too much here in WI, less than $20 if I remember right. That way you could rule out worms and coccidia at least.
that's not bad. I'll look into that. One small possibility is the feral brought something. But, the birds with direct contact with the ferals are the healthiest out of them all.
