Kiwi just came off the nest so I got in to check on Lil one.

Its a bit too dark to take a decent picture so I had a torch. One week old and doing great!

When I have more I may try to free fly them. Not now though for sure! The nest boxes are all fitted in that loft but they will need a bowl and nesting materials. To be honest I'm not convinced they will but I'll put everything in place just in case!
 
I need help. What's a brand of wormer that you all recommend? I went out this morning to an absolute mess in the aviary, normally shaped green droppings everywhere and a few really loose dark green messes with a lot of mucus. Foolishly I didn't take a picture before I cleaned out the entire thing as best as I could before work, but I did find two very small pale worms wriggling around in the pan I scraped all the droppings into. I sat around waiting for several minutes before I had to go but this is all that they gave me to photograph.

No fun! I'm sorry. Okay. A local fancier recommended this

, and it worked! My birds are all doing better. 4 ml. Per gallon. Let them drink it. It is an injectable, for cattle and swine. treat them for 1week. I noticed quick improvements. Keep the med out of light, and mix up only what you need. I got mine at TSC for $35:eek:. That's nearly 3 pigeons! It does last a bit though.
