I started naming my pairs with words that start with the same letter, and going alphabetically, so since I was on J, and it’s so close to Christmas, Jingle and Jolly they became.

mine usually hatch in 18 days. 17-19 average for most pigeons, I believe.

Jolly and Jingle seem to be doing well.

And guess who else snuck in to a different nest and laid 2 without me noticing? Bugsy! I candled them, and don’t see growth yet, and it’s only been a few days since I checked that spot, but I don’t know exactly when she laid them.

Ok, question..... Bugsy has 2 eggs. Another bird has been in the nest with her, but it’s not Skye, the male she hooked up with last summer. It’s Brick, from one of this spring’s hatches (non-related parents). Is it more likely that Brick is a female sitting with Bugsy, or the father sitting with her??
Or maybe it’s a female that laid the current eggs, but i know for sure that Bugsy is female. Still only 2 eggs in the nest.
