@WVduckchick do your sats have large feathered feet? If so i would trim them because the squabs could get tangled and then pulled out of the nest. I havent experienced this but have heard of others who have. But i f they are small it wont affect then at all.

Ah good info! Mine are not very heavily feathered, I don’t think. Not like my bantam cochin chickens anyway. I have had 2 chicken chicks get tangled around leg feathers. Luckily I caught both mommas dragging the chicks lol
