I keep coming across more and more breeds I like and I was wondering how many more I'm going to see and fall in love with. So then I looked up this:

With birds like you pictured, it probably would. When I first got my Birmingham Rollers they had no homing instinct whatsoever. After several years of breeding from birds that returned from overflies I reached the point where few were lost due to overflies. Accomplishing anything with birds is generally not a one generation deal. It takes commitment, numbers, culling, and time.

Yes it does take awile your right you can't get the birds you want from just one generation.

It does look pretty fat at first I thought it broody but that's just the way the breeder bred that one.

It's all about selection. The birds that he had were finer built than that - that body type is almost like a King. When I came back from Denmark, I posted in many places asking if anyone had flying Nuns - none.

Pretty cool, the Satinette was especially interesting to me that it had a bit of “reddish” color on it. I wonder if that’s because it’s young. Bugsy has a bit of that look, so I hope it’s something that clears as it ages.

He started calling as soon as he released them, was he afraid they would get lost? And does hand-clapping deter hawks?

Im so sorry bio. Was he just not be able to get enough food with what was going on with it?

I never clap. Im afraid it would attract hawks due to wing clapping while flying. But idk.
