Pigeon Talk

I know. I didn't like to mention that but it is a possibility. I'm not hard hearted and whilst she is still healthy she's OK but quality of life is pretty low with not having the freedom that they are accustomed to.
It's hard to bring up the 'c' word. I believe that it will come to that for Doba but I'm not ready yet. Oddly, her dau that I gave away had an injury that rendered her flightless and my friend said he would cull her if she can't recover flight. I do understand.

Well heck, I think I wanna get one more pigeon from the breeder while I'm buying. I was gonna do two but she says they would need to ship in a separate box if I did that and I don't want to pay more shipping.

So what would you all do? An almond that she suspects is male, or a younger blue that is on the smaller side so she thinks is female but is not sure.

Homers are shipped more than 2 in a box. They have dividers and I don't know why 3 can't ship in a box. You can see examples of these shipping boxes, often used for one loft races, if you just google it.

edit added - 3 would cost more than 2 but not as much as 2 boxes.

Oh no, three can. Four can't, which is what I wanted to do originally.

Don't know why they can't ship them all together but if they won't budge on it and you really want them is it affordable to bite the bullet and pay the extra for some birds that you really want?

Eh, I really don't want to spend another $50 on shipping. I'll just breed from what I have to get my numbers up. I was thinking I'd get another couple more if I could since I already paid the shipping but apparently three is the limit she's comfortable doing in one box.

I didn't realise it was that much! Is it three you're wanting?

Well I was already buying the two. Then I asked if she had more and she did, two more. So I was going to take all four, but she doesn't want to ship that many in a box so now I'm thinking of doing three. So, I have two I'm definitely getting and then either an almond she thinks is male, or a blue that is too young to really sex but is on the smaller side.

Sounds good. It's a wonder that she won't ship in multiples of two really. But your still going to get some nice birds to breed with.
