Pigeon Talk

@Pyxis did you start the coop? Pics!? What are you doing for support? That's what I'm trying to figure out for my next one. I'm thinking treated 4 by 4 s.

I didn't end up starting it that Tuesday, turns out I actually had to work, lol. So hopefully this weekend I can get a start on it.

All 18 in one photo!

Can you see how Doba (red check) holds her right wing higher than the left?

ps @WVduckchick - I need to see a new Bugsy pic!

Wow! How big are they?
One coop isn't very big because the chickens are young and there's only 2 of them. The other coop is pretty big it used to have 5 silkies in it but the roosters fought so we moved 3 to the barn the other 2 are still in the big coop. The large coop only leaned against a pig pen that made it easier to get back up. The pen that was attached to the big coop was pretty hard because it was on the ground.

I know I’ve seen some dna testing info here, I saved a couple of sites, but I’m thinking I might use IQbirdtesting. Has anyone used them? I wish I had used the empty egg shell for Bugsy, that would have been simple. But I’m thinking feather test might be ok too.
$12-15 bucks would be worth it to know gender early, and for sure.
I may go get the other birds this weekend too. I’m still waiting to see if he knows genders on them. Might go ahead and test the parlors too.

Any tips on specimen collection would be appreciated!
