Pigeon Talk

Pidgy bath day! I had to get a bigger tub for them. It still seems a little small but they love it!!
Oh I love it! They are justbeautiful! :love
I love seeing your flock! @CCUK Bath time always puts a grin on my face.:D
I am so thankful Doba has regained her ability to bathe.
Im glad she's doing better! :hugs

So I went against all your wise advice and moved one of the new birds in with my existing birds. The youngest one that I brought home (seemingly quite a bit younger than the other 4) was getting picked on by the cockbirds in that small cage, so I moved her in with my others, kinda hoping she would bond with Bugsy. Clyde chased her around a little, but at least she has room to get away from him, and she can fly pretty well. They seem to be getting along fine now.

And Bugsy is learning to fly pretty well now too. I watched her fly up to a perch that is about 3.5 feet off the ground. Seemed quite easy for her!

Unnamed young one in the foreground, Bonnie in the background.

I'm sure they'll be fine. They have space to avoid each other if needs be. If there was any nasties with your new birds I'm sure you would have noticed by now. Great pic! They keep threatening snow here but so far nada!

They are so cute!!!! That will have to be next on my todo list. I haven't left a dish larger enough to bathe in. Do you just just leave a tray large enough for them and let them have at it?
It's just a plastic storage tray from a homewares shop. I just left it in for about an hour. Everytime I went to remove it someone else was in there! I can't leave it in all the time as my loft isn't big enough. The water was a touch manky when they had finished!

Interesting how the lacing on their wings echos the sparse snow on the ground. I think it was a good choice to move the young bird. Have you identified the cockbirds amongst your new ones?
