Oh ok. Thats not too awfull long.. I guess we can wait..It just got to the place today, and it usually takes them two to four business days, so sometime early next week hopefully
Lol, hey, I'm pretty new to pigeons, I coulda been wrong. I just was pretty sure I wasn't![]()
Its a waiting game.. dh keeps changing the subject when I bring it up..Yes you do! Spring is coming and the pigeons are getting busy. SOON is an excellent time to get your pigeons.![]()
To be perfectly honest, I don't think the pigeons take to much to manage. Cleaning out is done in 15-20min. Getting them set up, homeset and reliably flying and returning are probably the biggest things. Once that is done its just a case of watching for eggs, if you want them or not, daily feeding, cleaning and flying. I haven't had half the dramas with pigeons as I do with chickens!X2

I DO need to downsize my chickens tho.. it was hard on me this winter to keep up with chicken chores.. I worry about adding pigeons to the mix. Scared I may not be able manage.![]()

Oh wow.. musical nest boxes!I sorted out the nest bowls out for the last weekend. I have 4 pairs but I had to put five bowls out! Boomer and Beau decided that they wanted to nest on the floor under the perches so I had to quickly make a box to put the bowl in to stop them being pooped on! So anyway, I use tobacco stems for them to make there nests, mama2 and papa2 took ALL the stems and made a massive nest and promptly aren't sitting on it. Boomer and Beau have a little bit in but decided against sitting also. Lucky and Doris aren't sitting but won't let anybody on the top and squeak and papa1 have one egg (that i switched) but can't make there mind up what to do!
Like I said, pigeons....no hassle! Just leave them to it!!
