Pigeon Talk

I sorted out the nest bowls out for the last weekend. I have 4 pairs but I had to put five bowls out! Boomer and Beau decided that they wanted to nest on the floor under the perches so I had to quickly make a box to put the bowl in to stop them being pooped on! So anyway, I use tobacco stems for them to make there nests, mama2 and papa2 took ALL the stems and made a massive nest and promptly aren't sitting on it. Boomer and Beau have a little bit in but decided against sitting also. Lucky and Doris aren't sitting but won't let anybody on the top and squeak and papa1 have one egg (that i switched) but can't make there mind up what to do! :th
Like I said, pigeons....no hassle! Just leave them to it!!
Doo and #743 were about to nest on the floor so I gave them a cardboard box

Mama2 just layed. This wasn't there an hour ago!

They never seem to want to nest where you want them. Mama2 is also on the floor but on the opposite side! How is doo now? Has she been able to fly much?
Speckle is still in cage in my living room! And so is her friend millie!

Doba is still using her wings to jump-flutter up to perches about waist high. I haven't seen her do any better than that. Some of the young cockbirds are paying attention to her. She still seems much better off in the loft with the flock than by herself.

:wee
The broody bug has hit!
Yeah! This is the first time this year and I put her on eggs. There's still alot of this year to go! If she's anything like my Brahmas, they spent nearly as much time in the broody breaker as they did out! Hardly had any eggs from them. :(
I swear we are in sync looking at threads! :lau
Your always posting something while I'm reading. . or we post something right at the same time. :gig
Great minds!

It sounds like she doing OK which is great! Even if she doesn't regain full flight she still got the company of the rest of the flick. Missy with the broken wing cannot fly. I feel so bad for her being in the rabbit run but I just can't put her in the loft because of how it's set up. I really need to upscale!
