Pigeon Talk

I may have a problem. I've just been watching the pigeons and it seems that Boomer and Beau can't get back to the nest. #65 who had the nest bowl opposite them has been in with them as well as two single males. I checked the babies and they are OK, they have both been fed. Is there a possibility that they may have been 'stolen'?

Way to go loper! How many is that now bio?! :D
There will be 20 when these two get banded. That's when I include them in the count.
Speaking of pics, here's a few from just now. It's a lovely sunny day temp is around 15-16c!

I have had a hen take a shift for awhile on a squab and it wasn't hers. But idk if it was 'stolen' hope things get sorted out!

the white homer pair has laid an egg! Well, maybe two! Not sure since he wing slapped me so hard I gave up!

I'll have to see who nests with them tonight. :fl for your whites!

@Qwerty3159 do you have an egg yet? I hope you do!
No egg yet. I was pretty sure she was laying when I saw this this morning but when she finally did get up there was no egg. It has been about 10 days since I noticed them paired up.
Edit: the cock on the roof of the box is not the father

Wow! I started with finding a stray last year. I kept releasing him and he kept coming back! So I kept it(I did speak to the owner!) It started from there. I only have a small loft and have 13 adults and 2 squeakers. I want to race but I need a bigger loft and a lot more birds![/
That stray pigeon must have been a racing homer. I heard pigeon racing is big there in UK. Well i used to have homers when i was young. We raced them and we put money. Lol. Now i got into sustainable , all natural farming that’s why i chose the kings for squabs.

Just got back from the poultry show. Was also a judging event for the American Serama Council. Lots of pretty birds. 1,100 entered, I heard. Didn’t buy anything, but sold my 7 3-week old serama chicks, so that was good.
No pigeons there though. :(

A few random pics
Great pictures!
