Pigeon Talk

In the wild, for sure, but in captivity the young can be fostered to pairs of other breeds to raise, or handfed.
This brings up a whole new CAN OF WORMS.
indentured servant,,,,,,,,, is something only possible with human intervention.

@cavemanrich have you really never started a thread? I looked at topics started...
Don't need to ;).... ENJOY BOTHERING everyone else on those they started:thumbsup

Except for human intervention...

Like some dog breeds that can't be birthed naturally anymore; they have to have a C-section.
Exactly correct. Just discussed the topic with some family members over the weekend. DD from Nashville came over with her 2 wolves. Here they are chillin in their back seat hammock on way over. They look comfortable:thumbsup

Those C-section dog breeds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, do not look too pretty/handsome to me:oops:
But apparently they do to those that purchase them for high dollar$

Well, cuckoos do it too :p And cowbirds. And actually a lot of birds, surprisingly. But yeah, in pigeons it's definitely all humans making it happen.

Totally in agreement. I'm not a fan of any of those breeds. Nor the brachiocephalic ones that can't breathe properly, or the cavalier king charles which actually has a skull too small for its brain, or crested ducks, etc etc. Unfortunately it's a bit of a pattern with humans that if they like the look of something, they propagate it, even if it's bad for the health of the animals involved.

Good to know, they look very wolf-like in that shot.
They sure do:)
The one on the right with the head closest to camera is one she just rescued in December 2018. I call him Wolfie. (I always have my personal names for all pets different from those given) She call him Barkley:).
He looks very similar to one in this beautiful music video by Loreena McKennitt.
Here is a screen capture shot from video.

BTW Bio,,,,,,,,,,,, haven't seen you on the music threads for a while:(

I’m up to letter E for names. This might be tough. I might skip E and go to F.

I also took a pic of Dazzle. He’s doing really well.
