Pigeon Talk

I'm thinking about something. The pigeon that just passed away, was my favorite. And now that it's gone, I am considering selling the rest of my rollers, and focusing on homers. But I feel like I have just got started in rollers, and haven't given enough time into them to really get a good kit of them going. So I might wait to the Fall and see how my kit is coming along, and then decide, but what do y'all think?

I just remembered, I wanted to ask for clarification @CCUK
and the stray from Lincoln, who incidentally hasn't returned :(

Is this the one that the owner just came and picked up? Now what??

Oh dear, that's like telling someone what kind of dog to own. Truly a personal choice, imo.

All I could say is it all depends on what you want from pigeons. I nearly got rollers after I got boomer but decided on sticking with the racers. I'm doing some training tosses at the moment but I don't have enough to race properly, ideally about 40 birds is what I'd need as a minimum. Rollers may have been a better choice as most my flying is just from the loft and the loft I have is more suitable for them. If I could have both I would but space is being prohibitive at the moment. When you finish your second loft would you have space to keep both? Bearing in mind that they are two different types and need different training. Ultimately it's your choice. Pigeons are definitely like pokemon, I want to have them all!

No It hasn't returned...yet!! He did say if it does I can keep it but just to let him know so he can transfer it. I hope it stays with him and does well though it seems to have quite alot of potential.

Geez, I read too fast. I thought you said it returned.
I would think he would keep it locked up for a few days, at least, to try to get it settled back at home.
