Pigeon Talk

My Wyze camera caught mine in flight last Friday. They do this pretty much daily, fly the length of my yard. But usually they land inside the fence. This time they went over. 5 circle around, and 1 didn't return. I looked all over for her. But by bedtime, she was back. I'm not sure where she hid out for he day.

And I took this video this morning when I was letting them out. Gives you an idea of their volume. The first chicken crowing is a Cream Legbar. Later ones are bantam cochins and seramas.

Real nice videos WV! I wonder if the pigeons enjoy the duck parade. I see them next door in the background.

That's cool! It's funny seeing the one on the ground running below them!

Its ok.. I can deal with them, I just dont like them! ;)
oh good! I'll spray for spiders ;) haha. Don't worry your pigeons are in a spider free coop! Haha. :p

Yep, they are still trying to make more pigeons. I'm sure I've pulled more than 40 eggs which is kinda sad but not as sad as 60 birds in a tiny loft! 4 have hatched and weaned so far this year - 2 for Doo and 743 and 2 for Loper and 735. So I'm up to 21 or 22 I believe.

What are the dimensions of the new loft? Are you going to enclose the porch with wire or...?
oh wow! 40 eggs. If only there were a market for them.

Yes @backyard pigeons it happen today when the second squab in a clutch of eggs broke free of it's shell Again 50 pigeons, squeakers. and squabs. Plus I must have ½+- dozen pairs on eggs currently. Now if I just can get them all trained and orientated.
congrats hokum coco! That's exciting. Hopefully they do well on training.

Is clipping wings on ducks something that peeps do???:idunno

@biophiliac I forgot to answer your question!

I am going to put magnetic screened in doors on all three walls of the porch. This will not be for an aviary but if one slips out the door. I would do an aviary, but due to the neighborhood then being able to see the birds, it might not be a good idea. I will be flying these birds everyday, and maybe doing some tosses weekly.
