Pigeon Talk

I moved the boys outside today. The racers are still in the other loft so I thought I'd put kiwi and coco in there till the weekend.

Me wants!!!!! :love

I agree with WV! Those are some of the most appealing fantails I've seen. Especially love the dark grizzle with feathered legs but clean feet(like Loper:)). Can't wait to see what interesting patterns you get from him. The saddle marked one is striking as well.

The dark one is coco. He is about 18 mth old. I'm not sure if his feet will come out in feathers as he has small feathers that are coming out. It will be nice if they do. Kiwi is only 4 mth old he is big. Alot bigger than the girls! He still has a baby face and he's such a dope! Such a freindly little/big fella! I sent some photos to where I got him from and he is missed but they are happy they have a good home.

Here they are before I got them and a couple of the others.

I've read that fantails can't mate without their tails trimmed due to the extra feathers, is that true?
I doubt it very much. Kiwi is one of several youngsters that hatched at the farm park. If you watch the birds mate you will notice that they lift there tails out of the way so if anything I'd think it may actually be easier for a fantail!
