The other pair are silver and i only have the 2 pair so no extra's to mate them up with. The DUH female has been that way since day one she don't fly down from the perch she falls off.
The male of the pair is always cooing and danceing and she just sits there like DUH so if they don't do something soon i'm going to sell them.

Like you i like my flock to run a certain way and i will give anybody walkin papers.

Hey there,

I was just curious, how young will your pigeons breed? I have a baby Lahore that looks to be pairing off with one of my older Lahore males and I was wondering what the chances were... This young one is about 3 months old now...

Thanks,
Bill.

just wanted to update everyone!! the first 2 nests from the first 2 pairs that each had 2 eggs in all were duds and nothing developed. i cracked them all and they were the most adorable looking eggs!! they had the white spot but no rings around it so they were not fertile the bullseye was not complete. so i pitched all them.

the 08 pair has decided to lay again. they r the black female and almond male. these eggs r fertile and veining like crazy so i have 2 good eggs in their new nest!!!

i forgot to mark when she laid them but going by candleing i believe mabe about a week after christmas they should hatch out for them. i'm totally excited for them and can't wait to see the squeakers and meet them!!!

the red/white pair r for sure a pair, the boy is calling but i think they r to young to breed yet his call sounds funny compaired to the other males and he is not as big either. i think they r to young to mate yet.

the other pair the blue and dun bar girl r breeding again but no eggs yet. i'll keep u all posted and take pics when the sqeakers get here. just had to share and let u all know i'll be a new momma soon with baby piggies!!!!

MAybe they are to young ??

I have 5 nests around my barn . Im so mad i had a pair of fantails with a beutafule black and white baby / Fully feathered and in about a week or so it would of fledged . Well i had lost power to my barn one night and when i went out the next morning the poor thing was dead in the nest !!!! with a full crop .

I think the parents were feeding when the lights went out and couldnt see in the dark to fly up to the nest and the baby got to cold ??

oh yes J, i'm loveing spoiling them and haveing them!! wished i'd of got piggies long ago!!! would never trade them for the world i'm in

!!

the ones i think r to young to breed r an 08 hatch i think they r about 4-5 mths old going by size and the calls they r immature compaired to the others and also going by how long i've had them. pigeons r to be 6+ mths old before they reach maturity for breeding.

i think the first eggs were not fertilized because the kid's were to loud and scared them and they were not doing the deed as we thought they were. since they were still adjusting to the move and that i believe we interupted them but now they r settled into our home and fineally comfy.

so sorry to hear of ur loss.
