PINK! They made it PINK! UGH!

My aunt died from breast cancer along with other cancers in her body...it was not a pleasant thing to see her wasted away. At least she was in a better place!

My husband's mother is a breast cancer survivor but she still battles some odd gland that detected now and then by xrays, mostly benign, thank God! However her mother and her siblings, all had breast cancer so the odds for my dd is not looking good if she inherits those bad genes.

OMG! I love Impy's new title. Did you come up with that one by yourself Impy or did the moderator gods hear my prayers?

I realize that most here are being silly, but suck it up man. I think when you have had as many people as I have, either dealing with, dealt with or have died from cancer, you might be able to tolerate the color of a bag of feed. Why would you care what anyone that made fun of you for carrying in a pink bag of feed would say anyway, considering why it was pink? They do have other colors. Pink just happens to be for Breast Cancer. Some of the others are:purple is Pancreatic, Testicular, Thyroid cancers, Light blue is Childhood Cancer awareness(can be pink too), Prostate Cancer, Green is for Kidney cancer, Orange is for Leukemia, and these are just a few. The main color for Cancer Awareness in general is Lavender. I think that it's great that it has reached so many levels of awareness, and I also think it is great when I see football players wearing pink! It's just a color, not your whole identity!!!! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Don't worry, your misery will be over soon...Unlike many fighting breast cancer right now.

my best friend in the whole world died of breast cancer 6 years ago this December. She left 3 little kids, orphans, who are now practically adults. I support breast cancer research, I wish nobody had to die like that ever again.

Sweetie, no one is say NOT to support it, but here's my thinking at this point in time, because there is SOOOOOOO much of that disgusting color out there (And I've hated pink since I was a child) It's gonna have the reverse effect and people are gonna STOP donating because they're just plain sick of it!

Yomama - sorry that you've lost so many, but as I said above.... And this pink thing has been going on LONG before this month, and yes there are some of us that JUST. DON'T. LIKE. PINK.

Also, the other colors of awareness just are NOT as prevalent as pink has been. So tell me this, why is is more special than other colors?

So yea, take it easy, most (if not all) were just being silly and venting that enough is enough!

Yes! Please don't turn Imp's silly thread into something it's not.
I happen to love pink (and red), at least if you look in my closet. I never used to until everyone told me that I look great in those two colors.
