A few more of the day! The obligatory Elda cuddle!
Here's Kit and Louise perched together.
Louise.
She's so pretty!
Mabey Mabel looking up at the camera.
And I'll finish the night with Wibbles!
After a rollercoaster day yesterday, where I was sure Wibbles was sick or dying because she was gasping for breath, I realized her nose was plugged with food and we had our first warm water bath, which fixed her right up! I say we because, well, she was very generous with her bath.
Here is the tail end of her bath yesterday. She was sleepy, so not as active at this point, but it was still kind of cute.
Also, don't mind the chicken noises in the background--that was just some nest box drama as heard over the baby monitor in the coop.

So the plan is to look for an adult pair of call ducks at an upcoming show in October, and maybe next spring I will try my hand at hatching some of their eggs--with the hopes that without shipping stress I'll have at least more than one duckling hatch!

I have a corner of the area that will be the duck yard in mind for a nice garden in memory of little Wibs, though. We'll see how that works out.
Seems like it wasn't that long ago when she was a little ball of fluff wandering around the brooder!
The cuteness is killer!
