The babies today! As of yesterday, they're two weeks old! I would have gotten pictures yesterday, but my aunt came over for Memorial Day and we grilled and spent a long time with the big girls. My girls aren't shy--my aunt ended up holding a few of the pushier ones because, well, a lap is a lap.
Anyway, pictures! In alphabetical order, here are their weekly pictures. Y'all can probably tell, but a few of them were busy carpet bathing and so they didn't want to pose nicely.
Callette the Silver Gray Dorking:
Cazzie the Blue Cochin:
Donnie the Dorking--You can see his chest feathers are coming in dark compared to Callette's and Lydda's. Donnie's definitely the boy!
Endymion the Easter-egger:
Flury the Splash Cochin:
Izzy the Blue Ameraucana:
Lydda the Dorking:
Rooska the Lavender Orpington:
And finally, Umru the Light Brahma (UGH, she blinked!) :
A few more from today. Here is Izzy in my hand again. Such a perfect poser.
Meanwhile, up in front of her, Cazzie was very interested in my shirt.
This is what I kept getting of Lydda while trying to get her side-profile picture above.
Rooska, right where she wanted to be.
Endymion kept flying over my leg and out onto the carpet. Doesn't she look so ashamed of herself?
Izzy again.
My little parrot.
The Dorking sisters, Callette and Lydda. I wish they both were in focus in this picture instead of just Callette, though! :/
Umru and her bright eyes
She looks like she's wearing pajamas with the rest of the chicks feathering out so much faster.
Busy babies!
Busy tearing up the paper towels, anyway!

I don't mind either way, but a super dark Light Brahma would be cool! She is a late bloomer for sure. I've heard it's a Brahma thing, though, so I think she's normal for her breed. I felt around her belly and back and she doesn't even have any pins coming in yet, except a few on her tail! Poor girl will be naked before long!
So I've been spending a lot of time with my little feathered therapists, but I just haven't been in good enough spirits to pick up the camera.
