I see they had a moms not home so let's party. The little stinkers I bet they had a blast while it lasted.![]()
It doesn't seem possible they are 6 weeks old already. They are beautiful chicks except for poor Umru but she is coming along with her feathers. I love the little legs on the dorkings. Do you have a leader yet? The dare devil of them all and the instagater.
Thanks so much for sharing their pics with us I really enjoy watching them grow.
Have a great day.
None of them really fit the bill for that, but the closest is Endymion. She's the one that always hops out if I move the cover on the brooder and turn away for a second, or heck, she even flies up into the cover sometimes like she's trying to knock it out of the way. She's always up for exploring new things and she does seem to lead the way a lot, though not always. Callette was up on the shelf above their brooder the other day, so it's not just Dymi that's adventurous. I think the two Dorking gals are quite adventurous together, though they are more tame when they've split off away from one another. Izzy is the energy, energy, ENERGY one, always flapping and flying and trying to get to new heights, so sometimes it's her that gives the other chicks new ideas. Umru is always stomping around and stepping on the others, not a whole lot of leading there. Donnie and Rooska are both very laid back and calm, and the two Cochins are a little bit more energetic than them, but nothing anywhere near what Izzy is! Put them all together, especially when they've just been let out of the box into their spacious outside pen, and it gets kinda crazy with chicks running and flapping and flying and avoiding being landed on.
