Pizza Dough Recipe (pics added! 2-5-09)

Yes you can freeze it and let it thaw before you use it. We make up cinnamon rolls and freeze them before the dough even rises. When we want cinnamon rolls for breakfast we set them on a pan and put them in the oven the night before. They thaw, rise, and are ready for baking the next morning.

I tried this again this weekend. Instead of the olive oil I melted butter flavored Crisco and coated the pans with it. I only let the dough rise for 30 minutes this time. I made a sauce out of a can of tomato sauce, a generous amount of parsley and a dash or two of garlic powder. I topped them with pepperoni, sausage and mozzarella and baked at 500 for 15 minutes. This turned out awesome. Best pizza ever...

I love to cook our pizza in cast iron too! Glass...it won't get as great a 'crust'....but will still cook them.

We prefer the homemade pizza to store bought or chains.

It should work, but the 9x13 pan is roughly the same area as a single 12" pizza. You could split the recipe in half, or do two 9x13's.

We use crumbled breakfast sausage in a lot of breakfast dishes so we usually cook up a few pounds at a time and then freeze it in a ziplock bag. For the pepperoni, lay the slices out on a paper towel and microwave for a minute on high. This gets rid of a lot of the grease so your pizza isn't swimming in it.
