Please! Any advice on treating flock for mites?! Including chicks.

I believe my flock has mites and I've read a bunch of different and opposing opinions on how to go about treating for them anyone who has had to treat for them before, I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations that you've used. I need safe solutions that will work for 5wk old chicks. Thank you all in advance.

Permethrine poultry dust/spray, clean out the coop, apply the treatment to the coop, especially corners and crevices. Treat your birds and get entirely new litter and nesting box material. You may need to dust your birds again in a week.
