*please help* chicks scared of water and won’t eat chick feed

ahh, So those are a couple of chicks from the famous wild chickens your island has ! How cool . To me anyway. Hopefully you can find or make a water container suited for them. There is probably directions here on how to make a proper water they cant drown in or turn over.

Maybe take a plastic milk jug and cut holes in it where they can stick their heads in to drink?

Hahaha yep there’s chickens everywhere, yet hardly any stores sell things for chickens!! I’ll search up some water container advice and hopefully I can get these chicks drinking and eating better !!

I don’t have any milk jugs at the moment, but I doubt they’ll even think of going near the jug as they even get scared and avoid any new container or object I put in their container

he said he had them for a couple weeks . they are tiny hu ? What about food ?
That's why I was wondering how feathered they were. I think they are 5-6+ weeks old. Chickens there are fairly small there, especially the feral ones.
Their mama had them out and about, scratching and eating all sorts of things... grass, bugs, seeds, plants, fruit... whatever they could find, including drinking water. Those chicks won't drown. A simple crock or bowl will be fine for water.

good deal ! So maybe a dog dish they cant flip . They will get used to any container you add in there in a day or so and start using it.
