Just like a mama ... worry, worry, worry! Doesn't matter ... mama to a human baby or an animal baby! Just be sure to give yourself a break every now and then, so as to avoid exhaustion!

yes I am going to have to take breaks every so often. This definitely is very exhausting.

the other store bought egg hatched last night. they're so cute.
I just rang the farm that the eggs came from and they said that they have australorp hens, lohman hans and lohman roosters ( only 6 with 2000 hens )
I'll post a picture of them and maybe someone here will know.

Lohman, hmmm??? I have never heard of that breed. I would be very interested in seeing your pictures, of course!

They seem really healthy and more energetic than the sussex which is surprising, I souldn't be surprised but I am. they also fluffed up really fast.\\

I took the sussex and guineas outside today for a little while and they really enjoyed it, but come catching time they all ran away

not far away but under bushes and things so it was hard to chatch them but they are back in their box and sleeping now.

there is one sussex egg left in the incubator, should I chuck it out yet or wait some more?
and will it be ok if I take the chicks in the car cause we are spending the day and night at my familys place we'll need to take the chicks with us unless we don't stay the night

Hhmmm, it's a tough call, on the last egg. Maybe just wait and see ??? Heck, maybe it just be a late one!

I don't know about the car .... you mean to transport to another location? I know you will make the best decision on that call! I would think if they have food and water and are warm enough ... well, then, all should be fine!
