Please Help! I dont know what to do!

ok how can I give it to her without getting it in the lungs, how much water and pepper

I agree it could be a URI but I don't know where the original poster lives and Gape worm is increasingly common here in the North West USA and, according to the Vet we saw, it is becoming resistant to some treatment. We moved into this house three years ago and this was our fist episode here. I don't like to bomb my hens with medication "just in case" and so did a fecal float and confirmed infestation. We haven't had any older hens get it so I am thinking chickens might built up a resistance or immunity as they age.The problem is that, unlike a URI, if it's due to worms here isn't much time to treat once the gasping begins.

All My hens will happily eat cayenne flakes that I use along with pumpkin seeds as part of a worm prevention plan you can mix the oil with their food. I don't think it will help with mature Worms but I don't think it will hurt either. You can put a few drop of the oil in her mouth with a small syringe she will swallow it but don't force it down her throat.

Wazine will not work. I try to avoid throwing lots of medications at a problem.
