Hi All,

This week, we were out to get new additions to my bantam flock, and the plan was to get a pekin bantam pullet and a roo, as I hadn't had one in my flock and I wanted to have a roo, so that in case one of my hen goes broody again, I don't have to travel far to buy fertile eggs.
I choose a pullet, and she is absolutely lovely, but as my daughter was with us, she fell in love with two chicken who looked like cockerels to me at the time, and I thought, that might be good, one of them hopefully will be an active rooster. (I had doubts about one but I don't mind one extra beak to feed as they are really cuddly).
Now that a few days have passed, I'm quite unsure about them. They are supposed to be 6-7 months old at least according to their previous owner, but in my experience by that time they should absolutely behave like a full-on rooster.
I have attached 3 pictures of them each.
And here is a short video as well, which might reveal more details about them:

I think that the blue one in addition is not 100% a pekin bantam.
The white one looks like it, but both behave nothing like a roo should that and they ended up in the last two place in the pecking order as well, so basically all my girls have beaten them up and they are very scared of my hen, too.
My fear is that they have either a genetical or a hormonal disorder, and they will never be fertile/active roosters.

I'd really appreciate any ideas or insights as I have not seen such chicken behaviour before, even though I have raised about 60 in my lifetime.
Naturally I will keep them anyway as they are lovely and my daughter loves to cuddle them as well, but it would be good to know what to expect.

Many thanks in advance!

Can you get a straight on side shot of both of them? The blue I think is s cockerel, the white I am unsure on. It can be hard to see the male feathering on white birds. The comb is also smaller on that one.

Full body please. But I'm still leaning towards pullet for the white. If they are 7 months I'd imagine that if the one is a pullet it should be close to laying. But I have no experience with pekins/cochins or bantams.

Maybe these ones?

I can see the saddle feathers coming in the blue one. The white, still leaning towards pullet. It is so hard to make out the feather shape on white birds but what I can see looks rounded. Maybe someone with more experience with pekins will have a better idea.
