Hello I’m sorry but please can anyone help me out? I have a chicken (I’ve been told she’s a red sex link and I don’t know her age) and today when I got home I let her out of the run and into my yard (which is mostly brick) and she went to go scratch at a corner with some dirt. I go inside for an hour and come out to check on her and she’s no longer out but back in the run
Now I’ve never been able to hold her before she always runs away because she wasn’t raised by hand or anything, she was given to me.
But she let me catch her and hold her and that concerned me. Then I see that she’s moving pretty slow. She has a bit of a droopy Tail and wings but not too much.
I don’t think she’s egg bound because she didn’t have that “penguin pisture” and she also hasn’t laid any eggs in months anyway.
It’s important to note that yesterday there were some landscaping people that sprayed some kind of liquid on the brick to kill weeds but it wasn’t really in the area where my chickens are, but could it be possible that she’s poisoned??
Can anyone tell me if these symptoms sound like something?? Is there anything I can do?? I have another chicken and I’m going to quarantine her just in case it’s something that can catch
I’d appreciate any help at all thank you
Edit; just some more details, she can still walk, I don’t know if she ate today as I got home around 4 and i have their food in a container they can access whenever they want.
