im feeding him scratch, bread, cherios, water, and feed. it first showedup as a big bubble like his whole foot was a bubble it was that swelled. it drainedfr awhile the it ended uplike the way it is now. he can move his feet like grip things but he cant walk

That sounds like bumblefoot. Sometimes the kernel is too deep to be felt easily. And just for future, bread isn't too nutritional, fine as a treat, but fills them up with empty calories.

Hmm... I would set him up on either shavings or a soft, dry blanket. Make sure he can easily access food and water. You may want to make a sling for him.

I would let it be. If it falls off, it falls off. I wouldn't try to amputate it at home, unless it is obviously becoming a problem for them. Is the chicken vaccinated for Marek's?
