Please help, not sure what the problem is...

Do you have any human calcium tablets?
I will look.
I think your bird had a vitamin deficiency because she is getting better with feed And vitamins.
I think rest is best for an injury and if it's an injury it will get better with time.
If it is something more than either of those there is not much you can do more than what you are already doing.
Try not to over think things.
Thank you, I will continue to give her the vitamins and plenty of rest.

This is the only “calcium” thing I have, can she have that? I also have oyster shell which I could crush up.

And yes, she has definitely inproved since Friday, she can actually walk, and is more alert and less floofed up, plus she is eating and drinking by herself.

I am hoping that it might be just a riboflavin deficiency, but I think Mareks could be a possibility with her walking when the hock gives out and she ends up walking on the hock. It is normal for them to help balance with their wings when they have a leg giving out. Only time will tell. Mareks has many different symptoms and can present differently in different birds. A leg can feel a little numb when they put weight in it. Their are similarities with Mareks and riboflavin deficiency, which mainly causes walking on hocks and curled under toes. @rebrascora treats many birds with Mareks, so if she could have a look at he video in post 56, she would have more expertise. I suppose an injury to the hock tendon might also cause her hock to give out.

She is so pretty!

It would be hard to know what's going on with her, but I do agree with @Eggcessive that Marek's is a possibility. I would still check the hock to make sure the tendon is not slipped or swollen.

I would continue with the vitamins and see how it goes. Even if it ends up being Marek's some birds do benefit from vitamins/good nutrition and can recover to the point of having a good life.

Thank you @Wyorp Rock, how do I check for a slipped tendon? Just feel around and see if it’s swollen?
