PLEASE HELP!! Sick Silkie chick!!

That is correct. That is what you need.
Thanks!! Do you think she can pull through until my dad gets home? He gets here about 6, I was going to ask him to bring some home. If not, I guess I can try to get my mom to pick some up. I have required classes that I can’t miss, I won’t be able to get out until late.

They are almost 2 months, I always keep the heat lamp on unless the sun is shining in, then I turn it off so they can get a little natural light. As soon as they start huddling or acting cold, I turn it back on though.
What is the temperature under the heat lamp? Do you have a thermometer to measure it?

I don't have a thermometer to measure it, but if you think it will help I'll get one. (Also, just an update, I put Ethel directly under the heat light with her blanket, she pooped a little and it looked fine. Also, she's drinking a lot of water! And she ate a little too)

I highly recommend getting one today too.
Too hot is bad for many reasons. It also makes the perfect breeding grounds for coccidia.

At two months of age they should not need added heat and I think this may be the cause of her illness.

Do you think I should turn it out??
I can't answer that not knowing what the temp is.

It's better for her to be warm right now since she isn't doing well but if it's too hot it will make her worse.

You don't have a regular old human thermometer around the house?
