Okay, bye
Have you been feeding medicated chick starter or did you just switch to it?UPDATE:
(***didn’t get a chance to check the temp yet, but I have the heat lamp off and they are all doing fine***)
I just got through changing out their shavings, and I have them some fresh (medicated) chick starter. I washed their food and water dish really good also.
Ethel is doing fine, still a little unsteady and wobbly. She’s eating really good, which I’m glad about, and her vent looks great. I made a point to watch until she pooped, and it looked completely normal.
My mom just got home with some corid, I’m about to put it in their water. (It’s from TSC, the only kind they had was for cattle. Just double checking, but it is safe for chicks, right? I want to make sure before I give them any).
Anyway, my chicks use nipple waterers, and the one they have is 1 liter, I believe. How much corid would I need to put in it??
Thanks everyone for all of your help, I really do appreciate it!!![]()

Unfortunately I can't link to articles right now but if you can do a search for this one you will see you bought the right stuff and see exact dose amounts.
Age/size makes no difference when using Corid.
I am happy to hear you turned off the heat lamp.
Can you switch to a regularly water for now?
I am not wondering if she possibly could be getting dehydrated with the heat lamp and nipple waterer.
Are you sure they are drinking enough water each day?

I'm giving you a hard time here....with what I am about to say on purpose. I want you to see if you can figure it out firstWe’ve been using medicated since WE got them, but I’m not sure if they were fed medicated before (they were a week old when we got them).
So you think I should switch to the quart jar waterer?? Will do.
I’m trying to do the math, but still unsure how I could give them the right dosage in a jar??
Sorry I’m a dunce![]()
UPDATE:
Did the math, got the corid in. I switched to a quart jar, so the chicks could drink easier. They are all drinking atm, and I made sure Ethel got a good front row seat (sometimes the two biggest ones bulldoze their way through). So far so good!! I really hope this works
Thanks again to everyone that has helped. I’ll update again in a little while![]()
