Hi
My two female cherry-valley ducks are almost a year old and both have small blister like sores on their feet. I have read about bumble foot but do not know what to do to treat it.
Please help as I love them both dearly and do not want something to happen to them.

Thanks so much!

Sorry for the bad pictures she wouldn't stay still!

Maybe you were able to catch it early enough? When did you first notice it?
Only this morning, I am sure they have had them for a bit though as one of the sores is quite large, I didn't notice because they were not limping I only saw the redness when they got in the pond and lifted up their feet.
I really don't want them to be in pain but i haven't got any of the treatment materials your link suggested. Would a local vet see them?
Thank you so much for your helpfulness!

Depends on if the vet even sees birds. If they do accept them, it might be best to take them there, since you don’t have anything to treat them with. Spending some time in water (deep enough so they don’t have to stand) might help keep the pressure off of their feet. Make sure the water is clean, you don’t want to risk it getting any more infected.

I rang the vet who has antibiotics to fix them up as it isn't too serious yet. They are very happy in a bucket of clean water!
Thank so much for all your help, I hope they will get better soon!
