Please help!!!

I bought that exact one and returned it 2 days later. IMO it's really a bad one. Do you know how to calibrate a thermometer? Fill a plastic cup with ice and add a little water. Let it melt for like 2 mins and stick the meat thermometer in. It should read 32 degrees. That's the easiest way. If it's over or under 32, you know that it's off by that much. Be careful. When you turn up the temp it will spike up to 103 or higher and cook your eggs. It's really a hard one to get to stay steady. Did you buy the auto turner? Do not trust what the digital read out says. I had it at 104.5, just to get to 101 and the temp would bounce up and down.

I agree with Ruby. 50% is likely too high and your eggs aren't losing enough moisture, therefore the air cell isn't getting big enough to sustain the chick once its ready to hatch. Since you've been candling through the process, how have your air cells looked?

I have both red vent plugs removed and there are several other tiny holes around the top of the incubator. I do not have the auto egg turner I do that several times a day I would say 5 times. I have eggs in there now they are on day 14...what should I do to have this be a successful hatching on the 13th...can I save these eggs at this point? They are moving very well when candeled

Honestly, you're going to have to babysit it until it stabilizes. Don't go by the digital but go by the other thermometer you have in there. Keep checking for temp spikes. Hopefully you caught all this stuff soon enough and those eggs will hatch. There is a Brinsea spot check thermometer that is very good. I don't have that one but heard good things. I bought a glass thermometer on amazon that was really cheap and 100% accurate. I'll look at it in the morning and tell you the name. I have to go to bed but I'll check in with you tomorrow morning! :)

where do you have the incubator is indoors or in a barn or shed it should operate somewhere that the temp doesn't get higher than 70 degrees or lower than 65 the meat thermometer is a good choice to calibrate the digital one with but you need to it as close to the probe as you can . I set so many eggs just to hatch a few. It's hard to get set but once you do it will work fine and hold a steady temp. I would run dry without water until day nineteen then get it up to 70% Amylynn has had the best hatch using that bator and hand turning of anyone I know of. when it's time to hatch she put's wet sponges in to get the humidity up It would be better if you had the fan kit but you can do without it.the digital hygrometer is off about 4% up or down most of the time .if you can calibrate it that would help you .hang in there and good luck

My incubator is inside and I have my air conditioning set at 72*- 74* I will start taking out some water to drop humidity and keep an eye on the temperature to see if I can get it where it should be...I am so thankful for all of everyone's help!!!

How is your temp? What happened when you calibrated the meat thermometer, how close was it to 32 degrees? I should tell you that some people, Amy being one of them, have great hatches in that incubator, like BYC910, said above. I didn't have luck but others get 100% eggs to hatch. You just have to stabilize it and figure out it's kinks. Do a search on here for "LG9300" and read some of the threads. The next thing to tackle is humidity. IMO, it's better to keep it lower days 1-18. 35% is best. You can use new, wet sponges so you can just take one or add one without messing with the wells. You can buy a cheap hygrometer at a pet store. They are in the reptile section. I use this one. Once you have one, I will tell you how to calibrate it.

I calibrated the meat themometer and it read 34* so 2* higher...it's reading accurate with the digital themometer on the incubator and I have it set at 101* I will go and get a hygrometer this weekend (soonest I can) and see where it reads....this morning I had 101* and still 50% humidity... so what does lower humidity in the beginning do?
