I live in northern Colorado and my ducks are just finishing up their molt and started laying again. They did stop laying and their feathers looked awful for a bit (kind of like a stray dog). They are still getting the long wing feather back but they all look like shiney new ducks now.

Hi everyone! I am happy to inform you all that Goose was indeed molting! Her feathers are back in full and she's gotten even darker than before! Thank you all for your opinion and help!!!!!

How far north are you!?!? This is exciting! Goose looks brand new also she hasn't started laying again yet but I've only had around 3 eggs from her. Her old mate wouldn't stop laying!!! But she's got these weird shaped eggs with spirals on it with a hint of blueish green!
