The vacuum cleaner/straw idea is one of those things that bring to mind "we can, but should we?" No we should not. Sheesh.

Well if you say sheesh to that, lol just wait! BECAUSE... my first instinct was to try to suck it out with a straw, MANUALLY... until I remembered how godawful it would be for US to aspirate whatever the heck that thing is!

With that type of reasoning, she could just grab him by his feet, swing him around over her head a few times really fast, and see if centrifugal force would dislodge it. Again, NO NO NO.....

Yes, and I started to mention that, doesn't take very much booze.
I tossed the pulp out of a tub, in the yard that I was fermenting wine in. My ducks came up to it and started eating the pulp....10 minutes later they were stumbling, falling over, couldn't fly....it's funny now but at the time, I thought something was seriously wrong with them.

Oh okay well if you cannot get it out how’s about getting it down. Cold....coconut oil in pea sized balls? Or oiled soaked treats?

I think to sum this all up, it's unknown what that is, organic/inorganic, the crane is tame, potentially if that object dislodges it could be life threatening. Therefore It should really come out while that is possible.

I don't understand why your dad thinks handling him will cause a heart attack?
The Parks & Wildlife have nets that are shot out over the wild cranes down on the coast every year to tag and inspect others that were already tagged....they don't lose any to that kind of handling....which is way more anxiety inducing treatment than you would be with Phantom.
