It looks like conjunctivitis along with periorbital swelling that could be from a respiratory disease such as MG or coryza. Are there any other symptoms? Any foul odor from the head? Here is a good link to read: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044
No odor. The bird is acting and eating like normal. She is foraging with the flock like always and seems fine other than the cloud in her eye. Do you think vet rx will help?
Vet Rx won't do much more than Vicks Vaporub if it is a respiratory disease. Could there have been a sting? Is a vet a possibility, or testing? Is she new or have you added any other birds in the last couple of weeks that could have been a carrier? Sometimes these things can come into the flock from a neighbor's flock, wild birds using feeders and waterers, or carried home from swaps and the feed store. Here is a link or 2 to find out how to get testing done: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_health/animal_dis_spec/poultry/participants.shtml http://agr.wa.gov/FoodAnimal/AnimalHealth/statevets.aspx
I hatched her on February 28. I did add three new white rocks about a month and a half ago but none of them are showing signs or anyone else in my flock. I have seen a lot of bees in their yard lately she could have been stung.
