Please read, may have first broody!!

Keep it moist and warm. It appears there is still some blood vessels in the membrane. I have a mister with warm water and I mist the eggs every so often when they are ready to hatch. Some people are against this but it works for me. My last hatch wasn't 100% but was 87%. If you decide to assist, be very careful. I have some chicks hatching right now.
 
You only needed a thin layer, sorry should have said that first! But I think I would go slow and assist, usually putting Vaseline on makes the membrane see through. Do you have anything to stop bleeding if it happens just in case?
