Ah I’m so worried for my gal :) but deep inside ik this is going where I don’t want it to go

If anyone else has any more advise, pls feel free to share 😭^

Does anyone know if it would cause any harm to the hen if I soaked her in water (“treatment” for egg bound) just in case?

Feel for an egg.

I would not soak her in a warm bath if she's lethargic. Soaking can put them on over the edge.
You can place her in steamed up bathroom or provide her with a heating pad to sit on.

Do work on hydration and get Calcium into her. 1 Calcium Citrate tablet daily. Pull down on the wattles, pop in the tablet and let her swallow.

A hen that has a stance like that can be suffering from being egg bound.
It's possible she may have more going on like Cancer, EYP, Salpingitis, etc. it can be really hard to know.

She probably is suffering from a reproductive disorder, such as internal laying, salpingitis, egg yolk peritonitis, or water belly. The upright posture with the tail down is common. How old is she? When did she last lay an egg? Readjusting her crop might be where she is not digesting food, or her crop and digestive tract are slowed down from abdominal pressure.

She was doing rlly good. We took her to the vet and she passed a large mass. It wasn’t quite an egg but as if a ball of tisue. The vet was unable to confirm what it was exactly, sadly :(
We put her on the provided medicine, and it helped her get well to a certain point. She had to be kept inside due to feces Issues (worry bc of flys/fly strike) and was never rlly making progress past a certain point. It was not an enjoyable life to live, and all it seemed to do was prevail her suffer, so we took the initiative and put her down. She will forever be missed, but thank you all for your compassion and help! It means a whole bunch to be able to be apart of this community once again, continuously trying to help those in need. Ty all, and have a wonderful day!

So sorry she didn't make.:hugs
The mass she passed was probably a lash egg (lash eggs are puss), which would mean that she had salpingitis, which is an infection and inflammation of the oviduct. So that would cause her abdomen to fill up with fluid, that's why she was bloated. There is no treatment for salpingitis sadly.
