Plymouth Rock thread!

I'll second everyone else - though I have met several plymouth rocks that are flighty, out of a mixed flock this fall my partridge rocks are definitely the boldest and friendliest. I'm looking forward to getting chicks from a breeder in the spring - I'm addicted to the *ideal* partridge coloration.

My quad of BRs, plus the splash Rock pullet, is 30 weeks old. Only one of the three BR pullets and the splash Rock is laying so far, though.

Are you looking for LF or bantams?

Oops, guess I should have specified.... I am looking for LF not bantams.
I have found a bunch of people with bantams, just not see the LF.

That's why I call it Rex's "test pattern". My Olive Egger had to be rehomed because it seemed to drive her crazy-she kept following him around and ripping out his saddle feathers. The barring drove her nuts! I couldn't have her pull out all those gorgeous eye-candy feathers!

Cynthia,
Do you still have or gorgeous Delawares too?
I must agree on your Barreds, dear, you SET the standard with that! They should take a picture of your birds for the SOP for color. They are amazing!
Are you selling YOUR house and moving? I hope you keep your birds!.

I have my rooster in my avatar and two hens, though neither is laying currently. I don't plan to breed Dels any longer, though. Honey, I can't take credit for these BRs at all, except for hatching and raising them in good health. They come from Marvin Stukel lines, a breeder out of Arizona and the eggs were sent to me by my friend William in south GA. He got Rex's sire directly from Marvin this year.

Oh, yes, I will keep my birds no matter what! That is non-negotiable with the move! They keep me sane.
