How sweet! I love them, I hope the heifer is not a freemartin, I know the odds are against her, but there's always hope! Can't wait to see standing pics! And pics of them w/ the new calf when you get it, I love the comparison pics.
My almost calf is a tiny one to, he and his mom will be going out w/ the rest of the herd in a few days and I can't wait to see him next to the other calf that was born the same day, w/ him being so tiny and the other calf so big, I just want to see them together.
The smallest calf I ever had was a little black baldie heifer, I don't know how much she weighed, but I use to have a pic of her next to a 17lbs dog and there wasn't much difference in size. Unfortunately I think there was something wrong w/ her, she ended up dying at 3 1/2 months (and was still tiny).
Very cute! I was always told not to bother taking a chance on buying a twin calf because the odds were 90% against her being fertile. It has always tempted me because the price is always so good. After reading this I might just take a chance the next time.
Good Luck in raising them. I love bottle babies when it's warm outside. I don't "do" winter very well....lol.
