Probably scrambled by the P.O. I find that Polish eggs ship very well indeed- (of course I'm comparing them to serama and araucana eggs- which are hopeless for the good ones)- except certain batches where everything is ruined. I've been usually 0% or 50% on batches of eggs I've had shipped to me- often from the same breeder- and I attribute that to how the shipper handled the eggs. If I drive to a show and pick them up- they do terrific- same with eggs I've sold at shows- they take them home to California or wherever and get a great hatch, so it has to be some rough handling by the PO. I don't suppose you're going to the APA National in 2 weeks? I could bring you some.

They will all be black, but eventually feather out with some gold spangling or partial lacing here and there. They'll vary on how much or how little will show up. Their crests will have white in them.

Hi! Here are pics of the 2 I just got, can't figure out how to get the pic and not just the link, but here they are. Any help on genders?

They're WAY too young, only someone truly experienced and who claims to sex them by crest shape can say. . . All I can say is, wow, those are some small crests. Still, cute chicks!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that some breeds may withstand "scrambling" during the trip better than others. May be true, may be not, LOL

OK, so it isn't just me. The SL and the "mottled" that they had seemed to have pom poms on their heads, but not these! Do they grow or do you think they will just have smaller crests? They were only about 3 days old at the time of the pictures, and about 5 days now. Really, they don't look much different to me. These are our first Polish. And thanks, we think they are really cute, too!
