We have 3 Polish. This is Barbie, our little diva.

Anyone ever seen this on a 9 week old polish? Feathers are coming in but it seems some are missing completly....\

Check for the obvious like mites/lice/etc and then treat. Check for them in the vent area - eggs/crusting little tiny clumps. If it's not the obvious then take to a vet. Research lice/mites to help you identify if it's that.

Hey guys! I just got some buff laced from McMurray. They are going on two weeks old now. Is there a way to guess sex this young? With my Orpingtons the hens tend to get tail feathers before the males 95% of the time. I am not really worried, just wondered if there was a trick to it With this breed.

My first ever bantam/polish egg, saving up for a week to see how many I get for an incubator. How do you know if it's fertile without cracking it open.

I generally wait until my pullets/hens have been laying steadily for a couple of weeks before incubating eggs from new layers. Assuming they have been living with a rooster. So far, the eggs have been fertile.

Thank you, it's really obsessive wanting to try new things out, my dad's friend up the road hatches lots of hens, ducks and geese and someone else down the road! I got them given, but haven't had anything else from them yet today
