Here are my new chicks hatched by my broody silkie Sophia. They are Tolbunt polish. She is better than an incubator. Lol![]()
Lol, there is nothing more awkward than a Polish in its teenage phase..sort of the ugly duckling 'chicken style'.. The chocolate colored chick looks like it may be a GL/Tolbunt split, maybe a 2nd generation crossed back to a GL? I'm just guessing..but they are both adorable ♡![]()

This is a Polish chick I picked out at a breeders, I just spied her in the brooder, and at the time she was the color on her head all over. It was such a rich cocoa looking color, I asked her what color is she and she said she was part of her Tolbunt project (which I think she may have abandoned the project I mean). Anyway, I just liked her (I hope it''s a her) and brought her home too. Her name is Coco. She just recently added the black on her wings and breast and is growing a topknot.

This is a white crest black I got at the same place. I am hoping it is a pullet, but I am wondering if this color on the wings is leakage or something else. I have never grown a Polish except for my splash roo. When I picked him out he had two black spots on his topknot and I was told that black would grow from those spots, and I have seen that in pictures. Hoping this is a pullet, and the above also. Not at the cute and cuddly look right now. They are about 3-4 weeks old.
