I live on 108 acres in the middle of 4000 acres of USFS

TOTALLY legal. Even though I live in the "village" (if you can really call it that, my backyard is a corn field). My neighbor keeps pigs behind his garage. There are goats at a house around the corner. The neighborhood kids loved to do the "farm tours" and check out all the animals.
