POLL: How much do you pay for a 50# bag of feed???

I get 16% layer mash from the mill and elevator and it is the stuff he makes for his chickens. It costs $19 for 100# bag. In eastern Idaho. I have 10 pullets that are laying and 10 months old and a rooster the same age and a banty rooster and they ate 100# in 49 days in the coldest part of the year (beginning of january to end of february)

I buy Kent layer formula from TSC-$11.59 I think it was. Chick starter was around that also, and I noticed the other day, that the scratch had gone up a couple of dollars. I already mix corn in with my layer, and the scratch has corn, oats...and one other grain (can't remember) it would probably be cheaper for me to buy a bag of oats, and just spread that, and the corn around the run, for them to scratch

I pay $7.99 at southren states for 50 lbs. of non-organic layer feed, and 9.74 for 20 lbs. of medicated chick starter. At Tractor supplies I pay 8.99 for 50 lbs. of strach. Is organic better than non-organic.
