Poll: What Treat do your Chickens go Crazy over?

My chickens will kill you for bread. Not that soft imitation stuff Wonder makes, real bread. If it has nuts and seeds in it, even better but they usually get the heals at the end of the week.

They like most anything I offer. Peanuts are a big favorite. Soft white bread apparently isn't, they left most of it.

Raw Liver, It doesn't mater the type it could come from cow, pork, lamb, goat, rabbit, poultry they love it all the same.

Mine love Moist and Meaty dog food. It's like play doh worms. It comes in little plastic bags, so it's easy to carry in your pocket. Like the cat food loving chickens, mine are a flock of dog food crack attics. All they have to hear is that plastic bag crinkle sound and they jump up to get it. It's easy, they love it and we get beautiful eggs every day.

Do you ever talk to your chickens? I do, but I'm bat crap crazy. If I were you,when I walked into the coop I'd say something like, "Ah, yer all full a baloney".

and then, They'd all give me the stink eye, I'm sure....

I talk to them a lot, but no, I didn't say that

I did throw one little piece at a time and watch them play keep away.. It gets them their exercise, and it gives me my morning entertainment

Mealworms are at the top of the list but they also enjoy live crickets. Hard boiled or scrambled eggs, grapes, tomatoes and kale greens are also high on the list.

since i read a thread on feed affecting the taste of the eggs , i have often wondered how true this is and what foods makes eggs taste differently and what does the difference taste like...
i would love to hear from the peeps whos flocks enjoy odd treats like baloney or wet dog food?? as i asked before to the person with the cat food crackhead chickens... do your eggs taste like meow mix or tuna delight???

As for the baloney...well ....me and baloney are old enemies from way back

... I used to give my kitty a little baloney as a treat a few times a week and she got really sick and died

Her Kidneys failed and the vet blamed the salt content in the baloney , She was otherwise healthy and young.
