Pomeranian Goose Breed Thread

Pics
Hello everyone, I can't believe I missed this thread, although I've been so busy I haven't kept up with BYC. I have a pair of Buff Saddleback Poms I purchased from Butch Gunderson. I was on his list since early Spring. Luckily, he is only an hour's drive and I visited several times before picking up the pair. I'll post photos of "Rufus" and "Loreli". I also have a pair of Grey Saddleback Poms from Holderreads. The male "Frederick" is breeder quality and the female "Bertha" supreme show quality. I'm just getting ready to enter "Bertha" in her first show. I enjoyed reading all the posts and the well informed Breeders who are able to offer advice!

I'm on an I Pad and may or may not be able to up-load the photos...

First WELCOME!!!!!!! Thanks for finding us and posting!

Wow, I've been trying to get a hold of Butch forever! Given his position with the APA, I figured he must have some awesome birds. Please do post photos of all your birds as soon as you are able. I am especially interested in seeing stock from Mr. Gunderson's lines.

It goes without saying that the Poms you got from Holderreads are probably very nice, especially your goose: Good luck with your show!. OregonBlues has Grey's from him as well and they are very, very pretty.

Also, would you be interested in selling any hatching eggs this spring? MANY people are looking for these birds and so few of us have them. I, for one, would very much like to buy some eggs from your Buff Pair to get the extra blood line.

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself to the thread, I am very interested in one day getting some Pomeranians, but I am in college and don't have as much time to mess with my birds as i used to. I am glad i found a group of like minded people interested in breeding and preserving this breed.

Welcome to the thread. Just keep that thought in mind when you are all graduated and ready to buy your first house: You'll need someplace geese are welcome!!!

Of course!! that is essential!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm so sorry not to have gotten back to Mrs Magoo! I'm traveling, usually without Internet access. Currently I'm in Fairbanks, Alaska and won't be home until this weekend. I would be glad to share eggs in the future. I do like Butch's Geese and yes he is very difficult to reach :)

I'll send photos and more posts soon,

No problems nonsuch: I wasn't on here for several days myself. First Isaac come ashore just southwest of me and then yesterday a lock/dam on the Pearl River only a couple miles from my house was in danger of failing and flooding our area. We all have had a lot of other things on our minds: Rain or lack of it, the holiday weekend, and the kids up north now heading back to school (kids here went back in mid-August due to the extra week off they take over Mardi Gras).

Have a safe trip and we look forward to you future posts and photos when you have time!
