Pondering Poultry in Lincoln, Nebraska

Hey-ho. I'm an engineer and family guy, living in Lincoln, Nebraska. My mate and I have been thinking about getting a couple hens for some micro Ag in the back yard. I am under no illusions that the kids will be doing any large share of the care for the birds, so I'm just doing research before taking the plunge.

I'm planning on building the coop and run this summer, then buying a couple pullets in the spring. So, I'll be reading alot of existing threads, and maybe chiming in with the occasional question.
