OK I use a small whisk broom to remove them. Sorry but habit from my husband. He always had those things everywhere, so I have them where they are dry and inside each coop.

Beside, I just did my nails today. First time since the funeral. Red polish and poo......o m g

Totally agreed! I do wear gloves anyway, but it wouldn't bother me much.

I have a Sultan and a Cochin who refuse to sleep on the roost poles, and pick a different nest box to bed down in every night. It is part of my morning routine to clean out all of the leftovers from their slumber party...

I pick it up and drop it on the floor. When I am cleaning the coop and run, I use a mini rake and dustpan, but poo doesn't scare me. And do you know what? Last year's routine blood test my health professional said the results indicated I had an AMAZING immune system. She made a special point of mentioning it. So unless you're sick, perhaps a little poo in your life is good for you.

Kids who are raised with livestock on the property have fewer allergies and auto-immune problems.
